About Wandering Women

This group is about travel advice specifically for women. During my travels, I often found it difficult to get good information on what places are female friendly. For example, Morocco was a beautiful country, but I was continually harassed and had people throw stones at me on multiple occassions. Eventually, I was lucky enought to meet someone who recommended a kasbah on the edge of the Sahara owned by an Austrian artist (Slyvie) who especially caters to the needs of solo female travelers in Africa. Sylvie even gave us enormous fake diamond wedding rings, which proved extremely helpful. I hope this group will provide some good insight and recommendations for fellow global girls.
