The river tagus, on a sunday morning. This is one of the nicest walks you can do in Lisbon, there is a pathway that runs all the way from the 25th April bridge right up to Tower of Belem. You can see in this picture the discoveries monument and the Christ Redeamor on the other side of the river.

The Discoveries Monument, upcloseThis is one of the most emblematic monuments in Lisbon. It generated lots of controversie, along with the Belem Cultural Center, but its imponence and detail soon conquered Lisbon. It has an auditorium inside, with theatre plays and expositions, and you can go all the way to the top and enjoy the view.
