Kiev is a wonderful city -- very alive, vibrant and full of hope. I've had the opportunity to visit prior to and after the Orange Revolution, and every time it's been great to me. There is plenty to do at night -- opera, concerts, great restaurants, casinos, nightclubs -- whatever one wants. There is still a lot of corruption there, but it doesn't really affect one's day-to-day activities. Get out and walk along Krashatuk street on the weekends, when they shut it down.
