My wife and I chartered a 33 foot sailboat from the Moorings out of Palma and took a week to sail around the island. Good sailing, and varied scenery, with numerous inlets on the southeastern coast. The northwestern coast is austere with steep cliffs and deep anchorages (except for the ports). Here are a few tips:
-Find isolated spots to go snorkeling. Where there are many boats the water tends to get a little dirty.
