Barely forty minutes from downtown Providence you’ll find Narragansett a small beach town that provides a down-to-earth alternative to the fancy mansions of Newport. While it is overwrought with University of Rhode Island students from September to April, once May comes around it is a peaceful place for families to vacation for the summer or just one day.
