Thank God San Juan is part of the U.S., because this destination is too perfect to miss out on. It has beaches, lively restaurants, and a fort. It also has one of the hippest hotels in the world that makes you never want to leave - the Waterclub. At night, visit the crooked, cobble-stone streets of Old Town and during the day, check out the huge fort. San Juan is where many Caribbean cruises sail from, so if you're going on one, I recommend spending one day after the cruise before flying back  more...
