The site of one of the Civil War’s most famous battles and one of America’s most famous speeches is now a tremendous national park. My family and I have returned for day or weekend trips almost every year for over ten years, and we still find new things to see every time we go back. I like to go in the summer so that it’s warm enough to spend time walking around the battlefields, but there are things to see all year.
