High Point brands itself as the furniture capital of the world. After a short visit last weekend, I would say that it's definitely a contender and worth a stop if you're in the area. High Point is about 30 minutes from Greensboro and a couple of hours from Charlotte. But going to High Point does require a bit of planning.
