We flew to Newfoundland and than trecked overland to Fortune, basically to connect with our friends on the French Islands (actually a Department of France) St. Pierre and Miquelon which connect by ferry here. But we arrived for a reunion of people from this delightful town who had moved away seeking better economic opportunities due to the decline of the cod fishery.
