Auckland : Fear & Self-Loathing in Auckland

Auckland suffers from a bad case of self-loathing- and I should know about that feeling- I’m from Detroit! This initially confused me because Auckland is one of the most liveable cities in the world. It has a beautiful landscape, has a bustling downtown (although quite small), the restaurants are nice in the Viaduct Harbour, and there are surprisingly lots of cultural activities to keep one entertained.
