Ithaca is the hometown to Cornell University, but ithis is not your typical college town. First of all, it's located in an absolutely gorgeous setting - among hills, leafy forests, and lakes. The drive to this corner of upstate New York is very enjoyable, even with police cars hiding in the bushes. It's fun to walk around campus and learn about its history, and since this is an important research center, you can always catch a lecture or a performance.
