Essaouira, particularly the harbor is worthwhile, but the round trip from Marrakech by land, although interesting, is a bit tiring for old folks, otherwise I would give it top rating. Air France is supposed to be putting in a flight from Paris soon. Particularly in summer it’s a change from the desert, and there are a lot of visitors at all times. Leaving Marrakech there are well irrigated fields and olive groves but as you pass into desert the plants and dwellings become sparse. There are  more...
