I went to Budapest on a whim of curiosity, unsure of what to expect upon arrival. What I found was a sprawling landscape: architectural relics juxtaposed against a modern urban infrastructure. The city is divided into Buda and Pest (old and new towns, right and left banks, respectively) by the Danube river and for this reason has been coined the Paris of Eastern Europe.
