Santorini has one of the most dramatic landscapes I have seen. The island is crescent shaped bordered by cliffs which overlook the Aegean. This unique shape is the result of an ancient volcano during which much of the island collapsed and Santorini is reputedly one of the possible resting places of Atlantis.
