The first thing you need to know about Mykonos is the time to go. The island is practically deserted from October-May. The island life starts picking up in May, but if you go before that, as I did last March, you'll find yourself on an island under renovation.
Because I went in March, most of the island was shut-down-- restuarants, bars, outdoor activities were almost all closed--so make sure you plan your trip well and shoot for either late May or Early September to avoid the crowds, but
