Cal and I spent a couple of weeks in Provence last December, arriving in Avignon about 9:00 PM on a train from Paris. The TGV station is a super modern affair, separate from the regular train station. Avis car rental, just outside the front door, stays open just long enough at night to accomodate passengers from this train.
