I been a regular to Sanibel for the past 8 years, visiting the island typically twice a year because my in laws live on the island. I would highly recommend Sanibel as a beach destination for those seeking a quiet, relaxing, and low-key experience. Although it can get pretty crowded on the island, it is not built up at all and there is plenty of open space.
