The Galapagos Islands are situated off the west coast of Ecuador, very near the Equator. As a result, the climate is hospitable and comfortable year round, thereby allowing the expedition/exploration travel companies to operate year round. We traveled with Celebrity Cruises, flying to and touring Quito, Ecuador, then flying out to Galapagos to meet the Xpedition. Although Xpedition is the largest of all the cruise ships allowed in Galapagos waters, she can accommodate around 100 passengers.  more...
