Washington is definitely a fun town. I think it's important not to expect too too much from it. There are a lot of monomaniacal people there, who only care about politics, and that's pretty much all they think about. So, not the most well-rounded group. But it is beautiful, and relatively easy to get around via public transportation. It's also in the middle of a lot of huge changes. A lot of gentrification, a lot of poor people being pushed out.
