Overall this is the best vacation value around! The Smithsonian and all Government Buildings/ Agencies offer free admission. Depending on where you stay much of the best sites to visit are within walking distance. A three day pass to ride the tram is a good buy as well and will also take you to Arlington. The town offers something for nearly everyone. The mall is neat and clean and during the summer months festivals are held on the grounds. The city knows how to do the Fourth of July.
