With a passport and a four and half hour drive from Sarajevo, you can be Dubrovnik, Croatia. The drive itself if a series of mountains and tunnels (about 22 of them) and sometimes breathtaking views of the Bosna river (in Bosnia) and the Adriatic Sea. Finding a place to stay overnight or for a few nights is difficult during the summer and early fall, but with some persistence and a budget, you can find a place. Reference a tourist office, or just drive around (if you have a call available)
