“Victoria is for the newlyweds or the nearly dead.” That’s the saying I learned when I lived in Vancouver. Walking around you can see where the saying comes from, if only you could get past all the youthful tourists everywhere. Victoria and Vancouver Island is very beautiful and picturesque. There’s not much to the island except for some grand buildings like the Parliament and the Fairmont Empress hotel.
