As opposed to a few other review I saw on TC, I loved Sao Paolo. In terms of cultural diversity - places to go, people to see, etc - this place has tons to offer. Certainly there's a bad rep for crime, but if you are an experienced urbanite, its totally manageable. Brasilians are friendly, as long as you don't look rich and stupid. The snake farm near the Cidade Universitaria is breathtaking, and if you're there during the season, they have the biggest soccer stadium in the world. Good
