Brussels is a nice town with an identity problem. It has a lovely town square where the French and Dutch worlds collide. It is full of touristy shops next to its sites like Mannkin pis and only a kilometer or two away it is full of impersonal concreate office buildings. In other words the true Begian - which is wornderful - is of the beaten path. If you like karaoke - check out Backsatge a few blocks orth of the Grand Place. It is really fun.
