As mentioned in the above section, La Fortuna is all inclusive so you don't have to spend a dime if you don't want to (other than taxis). It's not the highest-end resort you'll find-- it's kind of average and priced accordingly. If you want lots of posh luxury, you'll be disappointed.

If instead, you're low maintenance and easy going, you'll find it is quite nice. The food is average, but plentiful (check out the Italian and Asian restaurants, where you need to get there by 8 am to make a reservation). The bartenders are generous with the drinks and will let you use your own super-sized containers.

They try hard to entertain, with nightly shows, activities, sports and more. The most important feature is the location-- beautiful spot with soft white sand and warm water.

Great views on the hill overlooking Old and New Towns. Nice, small place with very nice rooms. Welcoming fireplace and cozy livingroom.

A lovely, small B&B walkable to town. Very accomodating and friendly family. The rooms are a good size and decorated very nicely. Also one of the more affordable options and in a nice area. Yummy breakfast!
