Incredible! This was my first visit to Jamaica and I will without a doubt be back next year. As breathtakingly gorgeous as Hawaii and the Bahamas, the Jamaican people make this vacation spot stand head and shoulders above the rest. The Couples Lounge in the Montego Bay airport is a welcome rest stop after the chaos of the airport. A Red Stripe is waiting for you and you're quickly "swept away" to the resort. Welcomed with champagne and a lavendar scented chilled washcloth, you are refreshed in the beautiful lobby before being taken to your new home by the wonderful staff.

The white sand seven mile beach beckons, the staff catering to your every whim. Rooms are comfortable and beautiful, drinks are strong, tasty, and never ending, and the food is plentiful and delicious. There are activities galore for those who want action, but sitting under a palapa being served fruit kabobs and tropical drinks all day is just as easy. Every single staff member we encountered was gracious and caring. When you enter the resort, you are filled with the essence of Jamaica.....no problem, mon. Relax, don't rush, enjoy yourself, be calm and peaceful.....this is the daily attitude of the Jamaican people. I was told by several Jamaicans that many Americans come here and are so entranced with this attitude that they never leave. I could feel that pull myself!

Once you go, you know......

VERY pricey, but worth it for families. So much to do and the kids stay entertained all day long. Definitely buy the meal plan as it makes life so much easier and heard from other travelers that without it, meals are horribly expensive. The staff were, for the most part, quite pleasant, but be prepared to be attacked by sales-people every time you step into the lobby! DEFINITELY do the powerboat adventure trip to Exuma. INCREDIBLE!!! The trip is beautiful, feeding stingrays and sharks is amazing, the food and drinks delicious. Don't miss it! Dolphin Adventures was awesome as well, spend the extra money to play in the water with the dolphins.
